Shafting Systems
Our experience in Controllable Pitch Propellor (CPP) Shafting Systems includes design and analysis of shaftline, machining, manufacturing of propellor hub components, selection & supply of auxiliary systems, integration and testing.
L&T has also developed capabilities to carry out design and manufacture of Steering Gear and Fin Stabilisers for frontline Naval Ships.

Helo Landing Grid & Traversing Sytems

Winch & Handling System

Winch & Handling System for an Active / Passive Towed Array Sonar has been conceptualised and built by L&T. This includes robotic handling arms for the Active Sonar Body. The salient features of the System are as follows.
  • Robotic mechanism having five degrees of freedom
  • Servo hydraulic System
  • Microprocessor based Control System for operation
  • Mobile trolley to carry towed transmitter body
